happy days

The last several weeks are all kind of running together for me.  E-man got some kind of cold bug (about 2.5 weeks ago) that was nasty bad... and by day 7 of no relief, and an increasingly cranky baby,  we made the appt. to go see his little man doc.  I am glad that we did.  I was told that he had an ear infection due to the nasty cold and so we started medicine.  You see, this dude doesn't really ever stop moving... and several days while he was sick, he just wanted to sit in my lap and watch tv.  And we did a lot of that...and a lot of rocking and swinging and whining.  But thankfully, the medicine seems to be working and he seems to be feeling much better.

This week I've been having to remind myself that it is still January, though you wouldn't know it if you walked outside.  The weather has been wonderful! Temps in the 60s and 70s... we have been outside a lot this week.

Picture overload coming...

This kid has become a camera ham.  He was whining and whining after he at lunch today, and as soon as I pulled my camera out, he starting cheesing it up.

And play time today outside... we love being outside.  I'm not complaining about spring in January, and I definitely wouldn't mind if it stuck around!

Seriously.  That face...

 Model pose... pouty lips...

And just keeping it real... he's a happy baby, but not all of the time...

Holly Jolly

Here's a very late look into our Christmas holiday...

6 month olds don't care much for presents... just wrapping paper and bows...

proof I was there....

6 months

I am so very behind, that I probably should have waiting and combine 6 & 7 months, since E will be 7 months this Saturday!

E-man turned 6 months old on December 14.  At the time of his check up a few days later, we learned that he was "above 95 percentile" in both height and weight.  The doc. says he is the size of an "average" 12 mo. old, which makes sense to me, because he is in all 12 mo. clothing. Crazy big kid.

Always on the move...

and still loves to jump!

The week he turned 6 months was an eventful one.  Not only did he have to go to the doc. for his first "sick" visit... but on that Saturday he got his first tooth, Sunday he got his second tooth, and then that Tuesday, he started crawling!
We are having lots of fun!

lunch date

If I ever get around to getting the pictures off of my camera from the holidays, I will share them.  For now, I will try to keep up with what this ever growing, always moving baby has been up to.

Last weekend, D was starting to be able to eat again (post-surgery) and was wanting a hamburger.  So we stopped at his favorite place.  We were extra excited about this, because E can now sit up (started about 2 weeks ago) and I thought we could try out a high chair.  {Since E was born, we've kind of just quit going out to eat... mostly because he hates his car seat, and we didn't want to juggle holding a squirmy baby and trying to eat.  Literally, maybe have been out to eat with the 3 of us 2x's since June.  And probably saved a lot of money :)!}

I think E was almost as excited as we were to be sitting down to eat! (iphone pics by the way, so not so great).

As we were eating... E-man was staring at our food, as always.  D decided that the little guy should get his first taste of a french fry.  (I think this face was more of a reaction to the taste of the salt than anything else)...

Maybe I should keep trying it....

Hm... this is pretty good....

Pretty proud of what he had accomplished at lunch...

He gummed down two french fries after all was said and done.
Growing up has it's perks!
