cousins

About a week and a half ago, E-man's first cousin- Liam, was born!  He came a few weeks early.. his due date is later on this week- May 3, which happens to also be my and D's 4th Anniversary.  Liam gave his mom a quick delivery and he came out a tiny little fella but healthy!
E-man was a little under the weather the week his cousin was born, so we waited for all of that to pass before he could meet little Liam.  They were able to meet each other yesterday... and I think they will be great friends! I'm sure Liam didn't intend to sleep through his first play date with E : )

E-man was pointing at Liam's legs.. I think he was offering to share some of his leg rolls with L!

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
Ps. 139:1-4

not pictured

I was very behind in printing off pictures from at least the last 7 months or so.  Last week, I took advantage of a "sale" from a site that I like to purchase prints from, and ordered about 350ish pictures... I know this is probably a bit much, but E's life is well documented : ) (for now...)
When the pictures arrived last week, I was flipping through them, showing D some of my favorites.  After I got through all of them, I laughed, and told D..."out of those few hundred pictures... I am not in a single one."  I've laughed about this.. and subtle-ish-ly told D that he should volunteer sometimes to take pics... But I've realized that this is just probably how it's going to be.  We'll just know that during all of our fun little family memories... I was there- just not pictured.

So... here are some pictures of E-man and his dad : )

He has learned how to turn on the water in our tub-

(don't worry this is not coffee..)

the boys...

E-man was having a rough evening... so that means he gets to watch the Veggietales Sillysong "Song of the Cebu" on youtube.  This song really is a lifesaver... he watches it on our iphones, computers, tv... any time he is sad- and it makes him happy!  We've probably contributed 499 hits to this video in the last 6 months!

E's first hair cut- more like a trim.  He was getting a bit of a mullet, so the back got fixed up at bit...

Mullet as definted by D: Business in the front, party in the back...  (poor E still has not a lot of hair up in the front, but it's growing in the back!)

This little trim didn't go over very well with E-man... so it ended pretty quickly.  Poor kid was scared to death by the trimmers...

E-man at 9.5 months...

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.  For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.1 Peter 2:21-24

Easter Weekend

We had a great easter weekend! D and I went to a special Friday night service at our church while E got to play with his grandparents and stay up past his bedtime : )  Sunday we made the rounds to see all the family that lives around here. Poor little E had missed his morning nap and was 2 hours late for his afternoon nap, so needless to say, he wasn't just the greatest company.  But, we were able to get some fun family pictures before his meltdown(s) started.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.  (from Titus 2)

9 months (a little late) and what's happening

Well, I'm sad to say, this is another iphone pic post.  My laptop is just about dead.  D tried to use it the other day and said it's barely standing on one leg. It's sad, but that laptop has lasted me almost 6 years... which is pretty good in computer terms, so I'm thankful!  I'm in the process of moving my pictures to the new computer... so hopefully I will have some better quality pictures to update with later this week.

E-man turned 9 months about 2 weeks ago.  Crazy to think he will be 1 in just a couple of months!
At his 9 month check up he weighed 23 pounds 8 oz, and is almost 31 inches long.  All of these stats are continuing to stay in the above 95th percentiles... so our little guy is staying true to his big size. He's in mostly 18 month clothing.
He is crawling quickly and in to everything! He pulls up and "glides" from place to place, and walks while holding our hands, but can't quite stand on his own without help yet. His personality is definitely coming out, and he easily makes friends : )

Here's what we've been up to...

Meeting D for lunch... We've been eating chikfila a lot!  I've decided why go anywhere else?  I walk in and they bring E a high chair, place mat and cheerios, bring my food to me, and refill my drink so I don't have to juggle a baby and do all those things!  We are definitely fans!

E is now in a stage where he pushes anything around the floor... boxes, remotes, phones, bowls...  his favorite thing to push around is this car.  He loves it!

Planting some flowers in the back yard...

Keeping up with the laundry...

Playing in the water fountain... we are going to have fun this summer!

Going to the park.. E loves to swing!

Soaking up the sun and doing a little bit of reading...

More fun at the park...

Trying on hats...

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
